55 Gallon Drum Challenge

The55 Gallon Drum Challenge was a once-a-year event during the WNEW days in which women were sealed in a plastic 55 gallon drum and had all types of disgusting things dumped all over them, such as fish, cockroaches, bad milk, etc. The woman who stayed in the drum the longest was the winner.
One year, a contestant had to be rushed to the hospital due to a cricket lodging itself in her ear and getting stuck. She was brought downstairs on a gurney covered in foul-smelling fluids much to the horror of unrelated people in the building.
